  • Karnataka Government launched scheme for weavers’ community on 6th July 2020.
  • As per the 4th All India Handloom Census (conducted in 2019-20), there are 54,789 handloom weavers registered in the state of Karnataka.

  • various schemes and services of the Karnataka State Government at the doorstep of the citizens).
  • Under the scheme, the state government is transferring Rs 2000 of financial support to all weavers in the state registered with the Seva Sindhu portal.
