- Against the back ground of the continual disruption of class room instructions because of Covid-19 lock down, the Computer Applications Department of the National Institute of Technogy (NIT), Trichy has organised a series of web based Online Teaching Strategies workshops.
- The first of this series is being attended by 50 women faculty of the Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women, Bangalore.
- The course objectives include learning methods for virtual classrooms, wide spread use of Video conferencing techniques for teaching etc.
- The course uses free or open source tools and provides hands-on training in the software for the participants.
- It is part of a series of training workshops for facilitating faculty of self-financing institutions across India to seamlessly transform into virtual classrooms.
