We bring you another success story, this time of Bhumika Maitray, who has achieved Success against other responsibilities, which are necessary but, despite this, she found time to prepare for her Bank Exams.

We asked her some questions regarding tips for all the budding aspirants.

1. How many Hours of Serious Study required along with the breakup of hours of study?

You need to study 6 to 8 hours daily. Not always you need long study hours to get success, you simply need dedication and determination to do something outstanding. It is suggested to take a 10 to 20-minute break after a continuous study of 2-3 hours. It relaxes your mind and improves concentration.

2. How many Mocks and Sectional tests to attempt?

You need to attempt the tests in an alternate way each week, i.e. 1 Mock test each alternate day in a week followed by the sectional tests each alternate day in the next week. This cycle should be continued.

3. What difficulties did you face while preparing for your exam?

Being a wife, daughter in law and a mother it looked difficult at first but it was not impossible as I had always desired for a government job, so I started working towards my dream. I got only a few hours to study, so I studied smart with full concentration, planned out my day and made a schedule which let me do all household work and also got ample time for study

4. How did you motivate yourself to overcome those difficulties?

Time management is the key to success. I studied early morning and late-night also because sometimes studying for more hours will not be a scary thing as the motivation comes from inside. I joined a coaching center to cover the exam syllabus and to keep myself updated with the exam pattern and difficulty level. I also used internet to learn short tricks and smart strategies. As I was in a preparation mode, I didn't care about other problems of life for a while and tried to be happy.

5. Tips to Attempt Individual Sections like Quant, English, Reasoning, and GA?

For Quant:

  • DI is the most scoring section.
  • Series questions are also easy it needs practice
  • Practice for profit & loss, interest, time and work, time and speed.

 For English:

  • It was difficult for me also so just try to clear cut-off with a good margin
  • Develop a reading habit to solve comprehension, Para jumbles.
  • Make notes while practicing errors.
  • Must try to learn 5 words daily.

For Reasoning:

  • It is my strategic section as I know I can score more in this.
  • Practice test papers and you can get scoring marks in reasoning.
  • Don't get stuck in a puzzle. Try to solve a puzzle only 2 times. Leave that Puzzle if you are not finding the solution
  • Focus on new patterns. It’s all about practice.

 For GA:

  • Learn the basics of popular topics as most of the questions asked from that.
  • Learn multiple GK capsules.
  • Update yourself daily with current affairs.
  • Learn all banking terms, economy, budget, and government schemes.
  • This is a scoring section if you work smartly.

6. What extra do you think should online coaching be giving out to students?

Online coaching gives you much better knowledge as it gives multiple solution methods from different aspirants by group’s chats. You can solve your doubts at a time that is not available in offline videos. You can choose a good website that can help you much better and the most important thing about online coaching is that you can get it anytime, anywhere and you can study as per your comfort. I feel that the questions asked in videos should cater to all the current exams.
