LIC ADO( Apprentice Development officer) notification for 2019 has come out with 8581 vacancies. The complete breakup of vacancies is given below.

Eligibility :

The entire process is divided into 3 categories 1. Open 2. Agent  3. Employee

The applicant shall have completed 21 years of age (in completed years)  and not more than 30 years of age (in completed years) as on 01.05.2019 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.05.1989 and no later than 01.05.1998 (both days inclusive) as on 01.05.2019.

Qualification

  • For Employees category and Agents category in both Urban and Rural area- Applicant shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India,
  • An applicant from Others category for recruitment as an Apprentice Development Officer in both Urban and Rural area shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

Preference may be given to those applicants who have good knowledge of insurance marketing and also those who possess Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing or Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a University in India established under Statute or by an Institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education or a recognized Institution.

Selection procedure

The Selection procedure will be in 3 phases for the open category while there will be a single-phase examination for the main category.

PHASE 1:    A written online examination with the English section is qualifying in nature.

PHASE 2 : 

A written online examination for open category with sections given below

Candidate MUST obtain minimum qualifying marks in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview.

Note: There will be no penalty for wrong answers. However, candidates are advised not to mark answers through random guessing.

PHASE 3  Interview:

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.
Commensurate to the number of vacancies, LIC reserves the right to fix the eligibility standards in order to restrict the candidates to be called for interview and also fix the minimum marks to qualify in the interview. The maximum Interview marks are 37.
