SSC MTS Notification 2019

The SSC MTS notification for 2019 has been released with complete dates.

The date sheet is given below.

Eligibility for MTS 2019

Nationality:

  1. Candidate must be a citizen of India or belong to Bhutan or Nepal.
  2. Tibetan refugee who came over to India, with the intention of permanently settling in India before January 1, 1962, are eligible to apply
  3. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India can apply for this examination.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates with minimum 10th passed from a recognized university or board will be eligible.

Age Limit:

Candidate should be between 18-25 years. Age relaxation is provided to the reserved category. Details are given in the table below

Paper Pattern:

 The paper pattern for Tier-1 is given below.

 For Tier-1, the negative marking will be 25% of the maximum marks assigned to that question

General Intelligence

Non-verbal types of questions including similarities & differences, problem-solving, decision making, non -verbal series, space visualization, visual memory, analysis judgment, arithmetical number series, discriminating observation, relationship concepts.

English Language

Vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, grammar & writing ability, etc.

Numerical Aptitude

Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Menstruation, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, computation of whole numbers, number systems, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Use of Tables and Graphs, etc.

General Awareness

This section is usually designed to see that how much the candidate is aware of the events around him such as questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc.
