    • Haryana’s Antyodaya Saral Programme bags National e-governance Award.
  • What is Antyodaya Saral Programme?

    • Antyodaya SARAL is an initiative to transfer citizen service delivery in Haryana, and provides 400+ schemes and services through one digital platform.
    • 115 Service delivery centers across Haryana, SARAL Kendras and Antyodaya SARAL KENDERS are delivering services of 38 departments at a single window.
    • Similarly, schemes of 25+ departments are delivered at Anododaya Bhawan and Antyodaya Saral Kendras.
    • Citizens can apply online, track status of their application and receive updates on progress of their application on their mobile phone.
  • Who is implementing this programme?

    • Antyodaya Saral, Government of Haryana’s flagship public service delivery project, implemented by Digital Haryana Cell and Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates (CMGGA) which is a collaborative programme of Haryana government and Ashoka University, Sonepat.
    • The project has been a collaborative effort by the state’s IT & 38 other departments, districts, NIC GOI, NIC Haryana and other entities with constant monitoring by the CMO.
    • The Digital Haryana Cell & Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates have been the catalysts driving this transformative project.
  • What is Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme (CMGGA)?

    • The Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme (CMGGA) is a strategic collaboration between the Government of Haryana and Ashoka University initiated in 2016.
    • Running in its fourth year, the CMGGA programme provides a platform to 25 young individuals to work closely with the chief minister''s office in Haryana for bringing transparency, accountability and efficient delivery of services in the state.
  • Who awarded it and Why was it awarded?

    • The awards are presented by The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DAR&PG), Government of India, to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives every year during the National Conference on e-Governance.
    • The project was awarded in the category of “Excellence in providing Citizen-centric Delivery”.
    • The award was presented to Department of IT, Electronics and Communication, Haryana
  • When was it awarded?

    • The award was given during the 23rd National Conference on e-Governance in Mumbai by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DAR&PG), Government of India.
  • About National Awards on e-Governance

    • To recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives, DAR&PG presents National Awards every year during National conference on e-Governance.
    • Earlier awards were given in nine categories. The award scheme has been revised and new categories for National Awards 2018-19 are:
      • Excellence in Government Process Re-engineering for Digital Transformation.
      • Excellence in providing Citizen-centric Delivery.
      • Excellence in District level Initiative in e-Governance (i) North-East States + Hilly States (ii) UTs (including Delhi) (iii) Other States.
      • Outstanding research on Citizen Centric Services by Academic/Research Institutions.
      • Innovative Use of ICT in e-Governance solutions by Startups [Startup as defined by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) Government of India]
      • Excellence in Adopting Emerging Technologies.
