World’s Largest COVID-19 Treatment Facility Inaugurated in New Delhi

- 10,000 beds Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital (SPCCCH) were inaugurated in New Delhi on 5th July 2020.
- It was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal.
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is chosen as the nodal agency for operating the centre.
- For the admission and discharge of patients at SPCCCH, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has built a smartphone-based application that will be used by the Authorities.
- The facility will also provide a centre of recreation for patients that will have books, skipping ropes, board games, etc.
